Benefits of Alloy Wheel Powder Coating.

Alloy wheel powder coating will give your alloy wheels a high-quality and durable finish, improving their look and protecting the wheels from scratches and water damage.

Most of us have had this experience whilst driving in Burnley

You are driving around in Burnley or Padiham. Suddenly there’s a massive pothole in front of you. Most of the times you wouldn’t have enough time to avoid hitting this pothole. Unfortunately, your car will hit it and 8 out of 10 times it will also damage your Alloy Wheel.

Now you have two choices

  1. You replace the alloy wheels with new ones
  2. Get your alloys powder coat from Tyre Bay Burnley

Fact: Powder Coating cost less than buying new alloys so if you are looking for to get your wheels powder coat in nelson then look no further than Tyre Bay Burnley!

How does it work?

Powder coating settles on the surface dry rather than liquid. Once it is settled, the coating is heated. At this point, the paint “flows out” of the coating and start to form a gel over the surface of the wheel.

Difference between Powder Coating and Normal Spray Paint Repair.

  • Powder coating provides a harder and more durable finish compared to normal spray-paint repair.
  • Powder coating protects alloy wheels against UV damage, light scratches, pollution and wash swirls.

Alloy Wheels Powder Coating In Burnley

This is how we do it?

1. Remove the wheels from the car
2. Clean the wheels with soap and special cleaning products
3. Sandblast to remove loose material
4. Manually sand the wheels to make them smooth
5. Heat the wheels to prepare the surface
6. Apply the powder coating
7. Reheat the wheels until powder starts to become like a gel
8. Apply lacquer and heat at slow temperature until the wheels are ready
9. After cooling down in room temperature the wheel is ready to be driven away
